Christmas & Winter
From classic Weihnachtskugeln in gloss, matte, and glitter finishes to hand-painted winter landscapes and Strass details — our Christmas range covers every style and taste. Add to that a full cast of Christmas figures: Santas, snowmen, nutcrackers, angels, elves, nativity figures, and beloved lucky charms like mushrooms, pinecones, and the classic Christmas pickle.
Animals & Nature
Our animal range is one of the most extensive you will find anywhere. At its heart is our celebrated bird collection — dozens of species, each one studied and perfected down to the last feather. Around it: cats, dogs, foxes, owls, reindeer, bears, fish, and more. Every piece mouth-blown and hand-painted with the same care and attention, every one a little unique.

Collections With a Story
Every ornament that leaves our workshop is made with the same care and attention. Mouth-blown, hand-painted, and finished by hand. But behind some of our collections and individual pieces lies something more: years of quiet obsession, a particular family passion, a surprising inspiration, or a piece of "Glaskunst" (glass art) rooted deep in the Thüringer Wald. These are a few worth knowing a little better.

The Bird Collection
This collection has a story that goes back further than Glavena itself. A lifelong birdwatcher and master glassblower from the Thüringer Wald, and a beloved member of the family behind this workshop, developed these forms one by one. Each one studied, refined, and perfected until it captured not just the shape of the bird, but its character. The tilt of a head. The way a robin holds its weight. The silhouette of a kingfisher at rest.
Every form was born from that same devotion. A deep love for birds and an equally deep respect for the centuries-old craft of Lauscha glassblowing. The result is a collection spanning dozens of species, from familiar garden birds to more exotic varieties, each one mouth-blown — mundgeblasen — and hand-painted with a level of detail that sets it apart from anything mass-produced.
They clip onto any branch naturally, the way a real bird would land. And like real birds, no two are ever quite exactly identical. Each one hand-painted, each one a little different from the last.
Many of our customers return each year to add a new species to their tree. Once you have one, it is hard to stop at just one.
